In Samarkand State University an event was held dedicated to the explanation of the significance of the speech delivered by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the meeting on the state of the judicial system and the problems of ensuring justice.
It was attended by students, as well as teachers, professors of the faculties of Russian philology, socio-economic and faculty of geography. At the meeting, the responsible employee of the Justice Department in the Samarkand region, Sheroz Shodiev, highlighted the issues raised by our head of state at a videoconference meeting, spoke about reforms in the judicial system, and about the work being done to achieve justice. He also noted that during the years of independence in our country a large-scale work was done aimed at ensuring the independence of the judiciary and increasing its authority, transforming it from a punitive body into an institution that reliably protects human rights and freedoms.
At the end of the meeting, Sh. Shodiyev answered the questions of teachers.
