Hero's way...

Interview with Muhabbat Sharopova, Hero of Uzbekistan, recipient of the Order of Labor Fame, the first Uzbek woman included in the list of "100 Women of the World" in the interpretation of BBS in 2017
- Why did you choose teaching profession?
- When I was in the 5th grade at school, my love for this profession was awakened because of the mathematics teacher who came to our class. I began to study mathematics with particular diligence. I participated in Science Olympiads. Already in the 7th grade, I won a prize in the regional Olympiad. My mother also played a big role in choosing this subject as my future profession. Since childhood, I prepared my lessons with my mother. If I didn't understand or didn't know something, my mother would teach me. My mother wanted me to be a teacher. That's why I chose the teaching profession. I am very happy that I chose this profession. I have never complained about my profession because of my love for my profession and my love for students. I worked as a school teacher for 52 years. In the meantime, they offered me many positions. But I did not leave the threshold of the school. I did not even agree to become the head of the scientific department and the director of the school where I worked. For me, an ordinary teacher is better than any career and will remain so.
After working at the school for 52 years, I started working at the department of higher algebra at the invitation of the administration of Karshi State University. I teach students the secrets of higher mathematics.
-You graduated from Samarkand State University. Share your university memories.
- SamSU is the most prestigious university of our country. I am proud to have studied at this institution.
In the year I entered, 27 students of the Faculty of Mathematics were girls. When we graduated from the university, only 6 girls graduated. Whether due to the times or other social problems, in any case, it was rare for girls to study at the university.
My eyes are happy to see our time today. The number of girls among students is increasing day by day. There are huge benefits for girls in higher education. It is necessary to take advantage of these opportunities. A learned girl educates an intelligent nation. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the education of girls.
- What are the three main factors that a woman needs to find her place in life?
1. Love for life.
2. Love your profession.
3. Knowing how to choose a spouse correctly.
- Where can one get the strength to cope with both science and feminine tasks in life: home, family, raising children? What recommendations can you give to teachers and young scientists in this regard?
- This is very difficult. I believe that even I did not manage to achieve all of them. Because I spent most of my time at school. I didn't go to weddings and gossip at all. As a teacher, I was ashamed to skip class. Even if my child fell ill, I would give him his medicine and go to work. My daughter was alone at home. Because I considered skipping school as a betrayal of my profession.
I would tell today's young teachers, first of all, to love their profession. Love for the profession is needed everywhere. But teachers must love their profession. Because the young generation is educated in the hands of teachers. If the teacher does not love his profession, if he does not love the students, it will definitely affect the mind and spirit of the young generation.
-Do you think it is necessary to be strict to be a good teacher?
-Hardness and gentleness are necessary in their place. The student's example is like a sprout. If you don't take care of it, it won't grow. But it needs to be cultivated for its proper growth.
- To what extent does a woman need to be famous?
- Today's age requires everyone to be a leader, regardless of age and gender. That's why I think it's necessary.
- Have you been able to achieve all the goals you set for yourself during your past life?
- Whatever I have achieved in life, I have achieved it thanks to my profession. I found happiness and respect in my profession. My profession has given me everything that can be given to a person. I also dedicated my life to him. I did not accumulate wealth. I only collected books and students. More or less, I managed to gain the respect of the people.
- What did you give up to reach your current level?
- I had to give up a lot of things. When the time came, I couldn't spend time with my family and my child. I didn't pay enough attention. I consider what I have achieved today to be their reward.
I have to tell a story. When the biometric passport was introduced, I also went to get a passport. First they took pictures. Then they wanted to take my fingerprint. But for some reason my fingerprint did not come out. I was in a rush for cash for three days. I didn't get any fingerprints anyway. Finally, after medical examinations, it became clear that my fingerprints were erased by writing with chalk on the blackboard for 45 years. The head of the department of public education of our region told everyone about this event at a large gathering. After that, everyone started calling me "the teacher whose fingerprints disappeared"...
The reason I remember these things is that if I have gained something, lost something, or given up something during my life, I am happy with everything. I thank God for this.
- What limits today's women?
-Before answering this question, it is necessary to answer the question of what is the limitation. Small problems and obstacles cannot be a limitation. If a woman takes action herself, if she can control her will, she can get out of any difficult situation.
- If you had to describe your past life in a picture, what colors would it be?
- I think it will be all bright colors.
-If you tell me one of your happy memories that you will always remember...
- There must be many happy memories in everyone's heart. I also have some happy days and sweet memories from them. The most memorable moment of my past life is when I was considered worthy of the title of Hero of Uzbekistan. Receiving the medal from the hands of the President, I cannot express my excitement in words. Here I would like to tell another incident. After I was awarded with this title, I started receiving congratulations from my students who are working not only in the republic, but also in different countries. I received congratulatory letters from Japan, America, Russia, and even from the Arctic continent. It surprised me a lot. At first I thought they must have been mistaken. Then I found out that one of my students was working as part of a scientific expedition there. It made me very happy.
To date, among my students there are 5 doctors of science, more than 40 candidates of science, more than 10 winners of international Olympiads. As a teacher, I always feel proud that my students are on the podium of world science.
- Your future plans?
- As I said above, I am currently working at Karshi State University. I am teaching students the secrets of mathematics. My main goal is to teach my knowledge to students, and most importantly, to instill in them a love for their profession.
