DEPARTMENT OF INORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND MATERIAL SCIENCE

In December 2011, the departments of inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry merged. In August 2018, the department was divided into "Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science" and "Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry". Until March 2018, the department was headed by Associate Professor Tillayev S.U. In March 2018, the head of the department was candidate of chemical sciences, laureate of the State Prize named after Beruni, associate professor Normuradov Z.N. was elected head of the department.
Currently, the department has 18 professors and teachers. There are 2 doctors of sciences (1 full professor and 1 executive ), 6 candidates of sciences - associate professors, 2 candidates of sciences - senior lecturers, 1 assistant - PhD, and 7 assistants. The scientific potential of the department is 56%. The average age of teachers in the department is 43.
The main scientific directions of the department:
"Study of the synthesis and reactivity of inorganic compounds used for the diagnosis of ecosystems"
Synthesis of materials using the sol-gel technology and their spectroscopic analysis.
