The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the procedure for holding the competition "The Best Digital Technology Startup" (President Tech Award) for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    According to this, in order to support youth startup projects in the field of information and communication technologies, a competition for the President's Prize with a total prize fund of $1 million will be held.

      About competition:

      creation of a sorting system for advanced business ideas and promising start-up projects put forward by young people, serving the development of industries and industries;

      additional incentives for the creation of export-oriented software products for the global IT market;

      increasing the experience of talented young programmers and their teamwork skills;

      creating a basis for further strengthening the interest of young people in the field of information and communication technologies.

      The competition will be held from May 2023 in 5 main and 1 special areas.

    Acceptance of applications, registration of participants, coverage of the competition and other activities related to the competition are carried out by the IT Park Directorate through a special portal.

    The winners will be awarded one-time cash prizes equivalent to the national currency at the official exchange rate of the Central Bank on the day of payment:​

    a) in 5 main areas of the competition: 

     1st place - 100,000 US dollars;

     2nd place - 50,000 US dollars;

     3rd place - 30,000 US dollars;

    b) in the special direction of the competition (one) - 100,000 US dollars. 

        Until May 1, 2023, the Ministry of Digital Technologies will ensure the launch of a special portal specializing in the registration of contestants and news coverage.

     The competition is held annually.
