After the signing of a cooperation agreement between Samarkand State University and the Japanese Tottori University, the parties held a seminar to determine their opportunities in the fields of education and scientific research.

      The ceremony was attended by the rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinhuja Abdurakhmonov.

     Rustam Khalmuradov made a presentation on the possibilities of Uzbekistan in the field of science and agriculture, plans for the future and ways to implement them.

      During the negotiations, it was decided to solve problems in cooperation.

      Members of the Samgu delegation made presentations in certain areas, in particular, on the training of qualified personnel in the field of agriculture, the joint implementation of scientific projects, the introduction of intelligent agricultural technologies, the efficient use of natural pasture resources of the arid region, and technologies for growing medicinal plants.

     Presentations were made by scientists from Tottori University on such topical issues as modeling the irrigation system in agriculture, the use of digital technologies in studying the water regime of the soil, the development of an aquaponics network in arid regions, and the preservation of pasture ecological services in the context of global climate change.
