The first Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Samarkand State University, Professor Akhmadjon Soleev held an open dialogue with graduate students of the Faculty of History, Psychology and Social and Political Sciences.

The event discussed changes in the process of admission to the magistracy of the higher education system, in particular, that the study of foreign languages has risen to the level of necessity.

     - In the developed countries of the world, knowledge of two other languages besides the native one is considered natural. This is the main goal of the attention paid to the study of foreign languages in our country, - says Vice-Rector Akhmadjon Soleev. - Each student must speak a foreign language at the bachelor's level. Knowledge of foreign languages opens up great opportunities for young cadres. Therefore, it is desirable that young people, in addition to knowing their native language, know and communicate in several foreign languages. Knowledge of foreign languages is one of the prerequisites for professional competence and gives a specialist an advantage in the labor market. The need for a professional workforce with strong potential, creative thinking and analytical skills is increasing all over the world. In this regard, the role of foreign languages in the formation of these qualities is extremely incomparable.
