Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation led by the rector of the Italian University of Tuscia, Professor Stefano Ubertini.

      The honorable persons first got acquainted with the Institute of Biochemistry, the archaeological and zoological museums of Samara State University, and then met with the rector of Samarkand State University, a scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov.

      During the dialogue, issues of international cooperation were discussed. An agreement was reached between the parties to create a scientific laboratory for the creation of new varieties of grapes and grain, as well as joint master’s courses. An exchange of views took place on cooperation in the fields of archaeology, landscape design and energy.

      Also, special attention was paid to food sciences, work on joint projects under the Erasmus+ program, and establishing student exchanges. Contracts were signed for the arrival of Italian students to Samarkand State University to exchange experience in the field of archeology.

      - This is my first visit to Samarkand. “I was glad to see the activity of Samarkand State University,” said the head of the delegation, Stefano Ubertini. - The construction of a number of scientific laboratories and luxurious buildings is proof of the scientific potential and high prestige of Samarkand State University. I was impressed by the presence of unique exhibits in the greenhouse, archaeological and zoological museums of the Institute of Biochemistry... One of the seven largest research institutes in Europe is located at the University of Tuscia. Basically, he has extensive experience in the fields of agriculture and forestry, food industry, biotechnology, architecture, waste recycling, history, human rights protection... I believe that our cooperation with Samarkand State University will be useful.
