November 5, 2023 at the Faculty of Law of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi (Almaty, Kazakhstan) held a round table "Regulation of artificial intelligence: a European approach for Central Asia."

      The main speaker was the head of the Central Asian Research Center for the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence at Samarkand State University. Sh. Rashidova, Candidate of Legal Sciences Irina Filipova. Her report was prepared within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet grant project (Project: 101124510 - AIREA-CA - ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), implemented since 2023 by Samarkand State University.
      The report noted that the European Union claims to be a leader in creating legal regulation of artificial intelligence and it is advisable to take its experience into account when forming national legislation on this issue in the countries of Central Asia in order to avoid unnecessary mistakes.

      After the end of the report, interested teachers of the Kazakh National University took part in the discussion of the topic.

      As a result of the round table, it was decided to continue inter-university cooperation in this area.
