During a trip to Tottori University, students of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University got acquainted with the natural ecosystems of this area, its flora and fauna.

      First, students were given information about sand drift, which is considered one of the most serious natural problems in Tottori Prefecture, and how to eliminate it. To this end, a trip was organized to the sand dunes located in the northern part of the prefecture, where students were informed about the measures taken to stop sand landslides. The students also visited a scientific and practical center dedicated to the problems of sand dunes and got acquainted with the activities of the center.

      In addition, students visited the Nature Museum to learn about the flora and fauna of Tottori Prefecture. At this center, students examined herbarium specimens of plants, animal species and entomological collections distributed in the prefecture. Students were also provided with detailed information about the geomorphological structure of this region and the features of soil formation.
