Hosei Universeity (Japan) Foreign Scholars Fellowship program announces about the opportunity for SamSU Doctorates and current PhD students, to study on 6 months exchange program starting in April/ October 2022
Hosei University celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding in 1980. In commemoration of this event, the Hosei University International Fund (HIUF) was set up in order to invite foreign scholars to apply for a fellowship to conduct research at Hosei University.
Invitations are extended to young scholars, who are enrolled in a doctoral degree program (or hold a Doctorate) to apply to the HIUF Fellowship Program to carry out non-degree research programs at Hosei University under the direction of and/or in cooperation with Hosei faculty and researchers. It is expected that joint cooperation and coordination with Hosei faculty will contribute much to the development of Hosei university’s research capabilities.
Qualifications/Eligibility:
1. Be presently enrolled in a doctoral degree program, hold a Doctorate, or its equivalent
2. Have sufficient fluency in either Japanese or English language
3. Be no more than 39 years of age as of April 1st, 2022
Stipend:
An HIUF Fellow can receive ¥300,000 each month and all or part of economy class transportation expenses for travel to and from Japan
Research areas include studies in humanities, social or natural sciences, or engineering. An HIUF Fellow may receive assistance in his/her research from the research advisor, participate in lectures and seminars, and use other facilities of Hosei University. HIUF Fellows can begin their research either in April or October of 2022.

Application documents should be prepared in English or Japanese and sent by Tuesday, June 1st 2021
