The Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University Alumni Association (SamDU BA) is a voluntary organization with no legal status. It aims to preserve and strengthen the university's traditions and values, maintain and enhance its prestige, expand connections both within the country and internationally, promote the integration of education, science, and production for societal development, and support the creative and professional development of each individual.

The main objectives of the Association are as follows:

  1. Strengthening professional solidarity among all generations of SamDU students and graduates, uniting alumni for the benefit of individuals, society, and the state, and enhancing the social status of higher education.
  2. Activating and encouraging the connections between SamDU alumni and the university community through the Association.
  3. Increasing the effective use of the intellectual potential of SamDU graduates, expanding the university's capabilities in preparing and retraining personnel to meet labor market demands.
  4. Preserving and strengthening the university’s traditions, and enhancing its prestige both within the country and in international communities.
  5. Uniting former forces that contribute to the development of SamDU.

Tasks of the Association:

  1. Create an information-communication environment to ensure regular connections between graduates and the university, as well as among graduates themselves.
  2. Assist in expanding social, pedagogical, scientific, and professional relations between SamDU, its graduates, and the Association members.
  3. Represent the university appropriately in professional organizations.
  4. Actively participate in enhancing the leadership role of Samarkand State University in education, science, literature, art, and sports, and in training highly qualified specialists with high demand in the intellectual labor market.
  5. Support Association members and graduates in professional retraining and skill enhancement both at SamDU and at scientific-educational institutions in Uzbekistan and abroad.
  6. Help in developing effective forms and technologies for organizing education and scientific research in higher education.
  7. Assist in career orientation for SamDU students, and in the distribution and employment of university graduates.
  8. Support the development of social partnerships for SamDU, and help coordinate and implement mutual interests and desires of employers, state and local authorities, educational institutions, and public organizations.
  9. Contribute to the development of additional professional education at SamDU.
  10. Organize and develop new forms of information, legal, and advertising services for the Association.
  11. Create conditions for implementing scientific and technical ideas directly related to the Association members.
  12. Assist in organizing meetings of university graduates, transforming curricula and programs based on employers’ suggestions, and summarizing and analyzing employers’ assessments of graduates’ professional knowledge and skills.
  13. Help establish educational and scientific activities, organizational and entrepreneurial relations between SamDU and organizations in the country and abroad.
  14. Recommend Association members for election to the SamDU Council and faculty councils.
  15. Collaborate with the SamDU Council in setting and implementing the university's overall development prospects.
