Within the framework of the nationwide project "Green Space," a total of 8,000 ornamental and fruit tree saplings were planted in the territory of the University’s Nuclear Physics Laboratory—5,000 in the spring season of 2024 and 3,000 in the autumn season.

To ensure the full growth of the planted saplings, a water supply system was installed, and responsible personnel were assigned.

To transition to a green economy and efficiently utilize renewable energy as its foundation, 1,230 kW solar panels were installed across the university, covering 60% of the university's energy needs. In addition to the work carried out in 2024, two heliocollectors with a capacity of 1,000 liters each were installed in dormitory buildings No. 1 and No. 2. Additionally, 200 motion sensors were installed in corridor and stairwell lighting, and 1,000 energy-efficient (8W LED) lamps replaced existing lighting fixtures.

Plans have been outlined for 2025 to continue implementing the "Green Space" nationwide project and accelerate the transition to a green economy.

At Samarkand State University, more than 1,000 seedlings were planted by February as part of the nationwide "Green Space" project. These include chestnut, linden, Japanese pagoda tree, Crimean pine, elm, and various ornamental and fruit trees and shrubs.
