Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment

The Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment carries out long-term and large-scale spiritual and moral educational work, aimed at promoting human rights and dignity, establishing democratic principles based on national and universal values among the university community, especially among students, and fostering physically healthy, intellectually mature, insightful, and independent-thinking young people.

The department operates in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, decisions, and orders from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, orders from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the internal regulations of the university and the department’s own charter.

The primary goal of the Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment is to educate students in the spirit of loyalty to national and universal values, expand their spiritual, aesthetic, and moral worldview, protect their thinking from the influence of various alien ideologies, and raise them as true, devoted, and patriotic citizens of independent Uzbekistan.

The main directions of spiritual and educational activities are:

  • Shaping students into individuals with an active civic stance, based on national and universal values.
  • Preparing students to wholeheartedly fulfill their duty to serve the Motherland.
  • Shaping and improving individual traits in students as part of their personal development.
  • Educating students in the spirit of social activity, initiative, respect for learning and profession, and social responsibility.
  • Raising students' social-political and legal consciousness, expanding their critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Helping students understand the negative consequences of various social vices: injustice, greed, and the harmful effects of localism.
  • Organizing meaningful leisure activities for students and engaging them in scientific and creative activities based on their interests.
  • Continuously improving systematic spiritual, ethical, and educational work.

The main tasks of the Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment:

The main tasks of the Department of Youth Work, Spirituality, and Education are:

  • Promoting the reforms being implemented in our country among students.
  • Shaping moral, aesthetic, political, legal, and artistic education.
  • Organizing events, roundtable discussions, and meetings dedicated to promoting national traditions and values.
  • Assisting students in their spiritual and physical development.
  • Defining the priority directions of spiritual, educational, and upbringing work at the university, developing and implementing measures based on regulatory documents.
  • Establishing ideological immunity in students against religious extremism, terrorism, drug addiction, and organized crime.
  • Increasing young people's interest in music, painting, literature, theater, and other forms of art, and helping them reveal their talents.
  • Organizing meaningful leisure activities for students and promoting reading culture among them.
  • Assisting female students in acquiring professional skills.
  • Improving spiritual and educational work in cooperation with the regional office of the Republic Center for Spirituality and Education and public organizations.

Spiritual and educational work at the university is directly organized, coordinated, and supervised by the first vice-rector for youth and spiritual-educational issues.
