Initiative 1, defined in the “Five Important Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, represents work carried out in the field of increasing youth interest in music, painting, literature, theater and other forms of art.

     According to the 1st initiative, in order to increase the interest of young people in music, painting, literature, theater and other forms of art, the clubs “Student Theater Studio”, “Cheerful and Resourceful”, “Shodlik Ensemble”, “Musavvir”, “ Design", "Dutorchi Girls", "Doyrachilar".

      In the 1st direction of 5 important initiatives put forward by President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, a lot of work has been done to attract students to art, music, theater, create conditions for them to demonstrate their talents and involve them in various circles.

 

    The second initiative, defined in the “Five Important Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the work carried out in the field of physical education of youth and the creation of the necessary conditions for the manifestation of their abilities in sports

      According to the 2nd initiative, on September 21, 2023, on the occasion of “University Day”, presentations were organized on University Boulevard with the aim of attracting 1st level students to sports clubs and sections.

      At the university, students go in for sports in 84 sections, including 15 - football, 4 - basketball (boys, girls), 38 - volleyball (boys, girls), 10 - chess, 17 - table tennis, athletics (boys, girls) , badminton, wrestling, handball. More than 2,500 students are involved in sports sections and clubs.

      By order of the rector of the university No. 141 dated May 11, 2023, heads of sections for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and chess were appointed. The university has 5 indoor gyms for sections, of which 4 (36x18 meters or more), 1 (18x9 meters), as well as sports equipment: training balls, volleyball nets, ropes, goal nets, rackets and tennis balls.

    The third initiative, defined in the “Five Important Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the work carried out in the field of organizing the use of computer technologies and the Internet among the population and youth, as well as improving computer literacy among students.

     According to the 3rd initiative, 31 computer classes, equipped according to modern requirements at the university, 10 language laboratories, 82 touch interactive whiteboards, about 20 LED screens and information kiosks, 52 electronic departments are connected to the Wi-Fi network to improve the quality of education using modern information technologies. The university has 1,851 computers connected to the high-speed Internet. A Wi-Fi system is installed in academic buildings, student dormitories, IRM, and canteens. More than 12,000 students use the Internet effectively.

     Students were informed about the IT park operating on the territory of the university to organize the effective use of computer technologies and the Internet among students.

     The fourth initiative, defined in the “Five Important Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is work carried out in the field of raising the morale of young people and widely promoting reading among them.

     On the 4th initiative - in order to widely promote reading among university students in collaboration with the Samarkand regional branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, the regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the regional information library named after A.S. Pushkin, as well as the “World of Books of Samarkand” organize meetings, book presentations, book fairs and exhibitions.

      Extensive and systematic work is being carried out to popularize reading among young people, in particular, the university organizes competitions such as the intellectual games “Astute Reader”, “Young Reader” and “Sophisticated”.

    The fifth initiative, defined in the “Five Important Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the work carried out in the field of systematic organization of women's employment.

      According to the 5th initiative, in order to productively spend the free time of university students, prepare them for family life and learn a craft, the Kizlarzhon club, cooking and sewing clubs operate. In the new academic year, it is planned to implement about 10 projects aimed at providing professional training and employment for female students.

      The university cooperates with the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship of the Samarkand region to train female students in professions. Students, in their free time from work, study professions that interest them at the center.
