On the occasion of the birthday of Alisher Navoi in hostel No. 2, the faculty of the Department of the Uzbek Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology of Samarkand State University held a competition for the title of "The Best Reader of Ghazals".

      The event was attended by active and talented students of the Faculty of Philology.

      Badia Mukhiddinova, Associate Professor of the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature of SamSU, opened the event with an introductory speech and spoke about the works of Alisher Navoi and their importance today.

      Associate professors Rohila Suvonova and Dzhumagul Suvonova also spoke about the significance of Alisher Navoi's work.

      Students who took an active part in the event were awarded books and souvenirs.
