The III International Forum “Physics-2024” started at Samarkand State University. This conference is organized jointly with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institutes of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Engineering Physics of SamSU.

      The main goal of the III International Forum “Physics-2024” is to get acquainted with world achievements in such areas as the structure of matter and the Universe, condensed matter physics, and applied physics. The forum is also aimed at further expanding international scientific relations.

      154 scientists from the USA, Azerbaijan, Romania, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan take part in the forum with their reports.

      The conference discusses the results of scientific research on the structure of matter and the Universe, condensed matter physics, and applied physics.

      The III international forum “Physics-2024” was opened by the rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov.

     The plenary session of the forum was attended by the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician Bekhzod Yuldoshev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Nanotechnology of the University of Texas, Head of the Laboratory of Hybrid Nanophotonics and Optoelectronics of ITMO University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Anvar Zakhidov, Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research of Russia, Academician Grigory Trubnikov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladislav Khomich, professor Dilbar Gulomova.

    Anvar Zakhidov, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

     - Today there is a historical event at Samarkand State University. Leading physicists of the world gathered. Researchers from the universities of Texas, Moscow, and Dubna discuss current topics and tasks. The purpose of this forum is to identify physical problems and further develop future technologies. There are about 10 scientific schools and modern laboratories in the field of physics at SamSU. That is why we are holding an international forum at Samarkand State University. It should be noted that the Samarkand Quantum Center, the only one in Central Asia, was created on the initiative of the rector of Samara State University Rustam Khalmuradov. This center creates the opportunity to obtain the highest results of modern technology and physics.

     Khomich Vladislav, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences:

     - The III International Forum “Physics-2024” occupies an important place for the CIS countries. The forum features the most current reports in this area. In some ways, the prestige of international physics-related events has declined in recent years. Today's event took place at Samarkand State University. Foreign scientists are showing great interest in this forum and recognize that it is being held at a high level. I believe that the reports at the conference will contribute to the development of science.

     Ilkhom Sodikov, director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academician:

     - Young researchers, graduate students and students also take part in the international forum held at Samarkand State University. I think this is their great achievement. At the event, participants give presentations on the most current topics. There are discussions about new inventions. Young students at the conference have the opportunity to choose a suitable direction or scientific supervisor for themselves, receive a number of recommendations from leading scientists, jointly publish articles in prestigious journals, and participate in international grants. I believe researchers will put this to good use.
