Research Direction:

 

Analysis of faunistic composition of Central Asian mollusks, compilation of their systematics, study of ecology, distribution, zoogeography, origin, bioindicator role and economic importance. For the first time in Uzbekistan the fauna of leeches will be analyzed, their importance in medicine and economy will be studied.

The main results of scientific research:

 

As a result of studying the modern period and historical development of aquatic mollusks of Central Asia and their ecological-zoogeographic and ecological-systematic complexes, he developed for the first time completely new generally accepted ideas about zoning. This had a positive impact on rethinking not only the fauna of invertebrates inhabiting the waters of Central Asia, but also the ways of their formation in the whole Palearctic. He was the first to substantiate the sanitary function of mollusks in Central Asia, enriched the science of malacology with more than 100 new species, genera and subfamilies of mollusks. He developed brochures and posters on pests of agricultural plants and intermediate hosts of mollusks and helminths.
