Indian Council for Cultural Relations announces scholarships for students from Uzbekistan Samarkand State University to study at various Master and PhD level programs at state universities in India
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, independent India’s first Education Minister. Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs pertaining to India’s external cultural relations.
On March 3rd 2021, the president of ICCR, HE Mr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe visited Samarkand State University with a delegation. During this visit a memorandum of understanding was signed between ICCR and SamSU.

Students from Uzbekistan can apply for ICCR General Scholarship Scheme and ICCR Scholarship Scheme for Studies in Indian Culture. In order to apply for scholarship, students are required to know English language.
