The main tasks of the head of the teaching and methodical department

Establishes control over the implementation of ministry decisions, orders, and instructions regarding the organization and monitoring of undergraduate educational processes at the university level.

Organizes the centralized registration of gradebooks for subjects.

Oversees the quality of duty performance by the department staff, deans’ offices, and academic support staff.

Monitors the execution of decisions made by university councils.

Supervises the quality of educational process organization in faculties and provides methodological support to address deficiencies.

Coordinates the preparation and approval of regulatory documents related to the educational and methodological process (working curricula, syllabi, documentation, etc.) in compliance with current standards, providing methodological and practical assistance to faculties and departments.

Analyzes the content and quality of regulatory documents related to the educational process for compliance with educational standards, generalizes findings university-wide, and takes measures to improve these documents.

Oversees the preparation of draft resolutions regarding academic affairs for University Council meetings.

Prepares information in coordination with the internal control and monitoring department regarding educational process-related correspondence, modem telegrams, board decisions, and other communications from organizations.

Monitors the provision and adherence to regulatory and working documents related to educational activities within deans’ offices and departments, addressing deficiencies when necessary.

Supervises the quality of task performance by department staff, deans’ offices, and academic support staff.

Determines the projected volume of teaching workloads by academic program.

In collaboration with department heads, determines the size of teaching workloads and submits proposals for department staffing levels.

Monitors the fair and accurate distribution of teaching workloads across positions, offering methodological support to departments.

Collects, consolidates, and prepares faculty proposals for the academic schedule, drafting the university's academic calendar accordingly.

Maintains records of changes in teaching workloads and their distribution during the academic year (for valid reasons), identifies causes, and submits proposals for necessary actions.

Monitors the content and quality of regulatory documents related to the educational process for compliance with educational standards, consolidates analyses university-wide, and takes measures for improvement.

Keeps records of vacant teaching hours within departments, collaborates with the finance and planning department to determine hourly workload funds across the university, distributes them by work type, and drafts the rector’s order accordingly.

Maintains monthly records of hourly teaching workloads, prepares rector’s orders for hourly teaching permissions and payment of completed workloads, and verifies the accuracy of recorded information against group journals.

Tracks labor and other leave schedules for professors, teaching staff, and academic support staff, as well as their work-related travel for academic purposes.
