Cooperation between Samarkand State University and Altai University continues...
As we reported earlier, in February this year Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation headed by Vice-Rector of Altai State University Roman Raikin. As a result of the visit, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a laboratory "Systematics and fauna of terrestrial arthropods in arid and mountain ecosystems of Central Asia" of Altai State University on the basis of Samarkand State University. In continuation of this agreement, Roman Yakovlev, professor of Altai State University, one of the world's leading scientists in the field of insect taxonomy, editor-in-chief of the Acta Biologica Sibirica journal included in the Scopus database (Q2) visited Samarkand State University.
On the first day of the visit, the editors of the journal "Acta Biologica Sibirica" held a seminar on the topic "Publication of an article in a rating journal: from idea to publication" at the Faculty of Biology of SamSU. The seminar discussed the main aspects that should be paid attention to when conducting high-quality research in the field of natural sciences and publishing the results of this research in rating journals. The lecture turned out to be very useful for the participants of the event - professors, teachers, young scientists, basic doctoral students, masters and graduates.
In the afternoon, the guests met with Akmal Akhatov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Samarkand State University, and Mukhtor Nasyrov, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and discussed issues of further cooperation.
