Participants in the forum of university rectors of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, held in Tashkent, visited Samarkand. Under the leadership of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rakhim Saidzoda, about 30 rectors of higher educational institutions visited Samarkand State University.

      Rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov met with honorary officials.

      During the visit, the forum participants visited the Museum of Archeology and Zoology of SamSU. While on the campus of the Institute of Biochemistry, they took part in the process of conducting classes. We visited the greenhouse. We got acquainted with the work of the laboratory named after Nobel laureate Aziz Sanjar.

      Members of the delegation got acquainted with the conditions created at Samarkand State University and highly appreciated the activities of the university.

      Rustam Kholmurodov reached a number of agreements with the rector of Khujand State University Ayub Usmonzoda in the areas of history and archeology, the rector of the Tajik Technical University Kudrat Davlatzoda in the areas of engineering, information technology, chemistry and economics, as well as with the rector of the Tajik Agrarian University Usman Mahmaderzoda in the areas of agrobiotechnology.

      For information, Samarkand State University, within the framework of this forum, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the National University of Tajikistan, Kulyab State University, Bokhtar State University, Tajik State Commercial University and the Pedagogical Institute of Tajikistan.
