He defended his candidate dissertation on the topic “Biological Characteristics of Elaeagnus L. Species Distributed in the Zarafshan Valley and the Polymorphism of Their Fruits” and his doctoral dissertation on the topic “The Family Elaegnaceae Juss. in the Flora of Uzbekistan.” Currently, he is conducting scientific research in the fields of plant morphology, systematics, introduction, ecology, medicinal properties, as well as dendrology and paleontology.
