Nasimov Abdullo Murodovich

Abdulla Nasimov - "Honored mentor of youth of Uzbekistan", doctor of technical sciences, professor.

Under the guidance of the professor, laboratories for the synthesis of chemical sensors, LiMnO4 spinels for lithium-ion batteries, complex compounds and materials for hydrogen storage were created in the department. In 1987 he was awarded the State Prize of Uzbekistan named after Beruni. In 2005 he was awarded the title "Talim Alochisi" and in 2013 "Honored Youth Mentor of Uzbekistan" by IBS nomination (Cambridge, England).

He has implemented more than 10 scientific grants and projects of the Committee on Science and Technology. Abdullo Nasimov is the author of 2 monographs and 4 brochures. More than 500 scientific articles and about 30 educational-methodical literature were published. He is the owner of 18 copyright certificates and patents.

Professor of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, honored figure of science and education, included in the encyclopedia "Famous Scientists". Norkulov Uchkun Munavvarovich

Uchkun Norkulov is a candidate of chemical sciences. In 1994, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on "Automatic determination of hydrogen and methane by thermocatalytic method".

Since 2021 he has been working as the editorial board member of Indian Scientific Journal and since 2023 as the editorial board member of the Eurasian journal of medical and natural sciences for the subject of chemistry. During his career, he has published 3 articles in journals included in the international Scopus database.

Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. In 2012, he defended his PhD thesis on "Creation of selective methods and sensors for the detection of carbon dioxide in the gas environment".

Khurshid Tashpulatov has published 30 scientific articles and about 40 abstracts, as well as 3 textbooks. He translated the manual "Organic Spectroscopy" from English for chemistry students.

Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science

 

The Department of General Chemistry has been operating since the foundation of Samarkand State University. The department was established in 1927-1928. The department was headed by the following scientists: Professor L. Parfentiev from 1928 to 1944, Associate Professor Rashid Ibodulin from 1944 to 1964, Mikhail Abramov from 1965 to 1970, Temur Khamrokulov from 1970 to 1985, Eson Lutfullaev from 1985 to 1995, Ziyadulla Normuradov from 1995 to 2004, Abdullo Nasimov from 2004 to 2013, Sanjar Tillaev from 2013 to 2017, Ziyadulla Normuradov from 2018 to 2020. Since 2021, the head of the department is Dr. Chemical Sciences (DSc) I. Abdurahmanov.

There are 11 professors-teachers at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science in 2022. At present, the department has 3 doctors of sciences, including 2 professors, 4 candidates of sciences, associate professors, 4 assistants. The scientific potential of the department is 64%.

The department has special laboratories "Chemistry of coordinated compounds", "General and inorganic chemistry", "Educational and experimental laboratory "ES&E" environmental systems and instruments". The teaching staff of the department conducts scientific research on the themes: "Application of inorganic substances-coordination compounds to the synthesis, structure, reactivity and their use for ecosystem diagnostics" and "Development of ecoanalytical monitoring system by implementing automatic environmental control based on the creation of various methods of chemical analysis." The department trains highly qualified chemists for industrial enterprises and medical institutions of the country, higher educational institutions, academic lyceums, colleges and secondary schools.

As a result of fruitful work of professors and teachers of the department 5 textbooks, 24 educational and methodical manuals, more than 130 teaching aids and recommendations were prepared and published.

Professors and lecturers of the department currently carry out scientific research on the basis of a number of state grants and economic contracts.

The Department has a basic doctoral studies in the specialty 02.00.01-Inorganic chemistry.

The teaching staff of the department has established close relations with scientists from such higher educational institutions as the Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances named after S. Yunusov, the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after S. Yu. О. Sodikov, University of Lille (France), Texas A&M University (USA), Jodhpur Institute of Technology (India) Caucasus University (Turkey), Lomonosov Moscow State University, National University of Tajikistan, Al-Farobi National University of Kazakhstan and Eurasian National University.
