Biography

  • in 1946 he was born in region Jarkurgan of Surkhandarya
  • in 1962-1967 – a student of Samarkand state university
  • in 1967-1968 – in a military service
  • in 1969-1971 – a teacher of the chair “French philology” at Samarkand State University
  • in 1971-1974 – postgraduate of the chair “Roman and Turkish philology” at Leningrad State University
  • in 1974-1975 – a teacher of the chair “French philology” at Samarkand State University
  • in 1975-1976 – an assistant of the chair “german language” at Samarkand State University
  • in 1976-1994 – a teacher, docent of the chair “French philology” at Samarkand State University
  • in 1995-1996 – professor of chair “grammar of the French language”, executor of the chairan, dean of the faculty of French philology at Samarkand State University
  • in 1996-2012 – the chairman of the chair “applied linguistics, methodics of teaching Uzbek language and literature” at Samarkand State University

The Chair was founded in September, 1990 in connection with giving the title of state to the Uzbek language. During these years the name of the Chair has changed several times: interfaculty Chair of the Uzbek language (1990-2003), Chair of Applied Linguistics, methodics of teaching the Uzbek language and literature (2003-2015), Chair of the Uzbek language and literature (2015-2017) and Chair of Methodics of teaching the Uzbek language and literature (since January, 2017).

These years the number of teachers and subjects have increased, types of activity have widened. Nowadays Chair provides teaching such subjects as: “Uzbek language”, “Terminology and office work in the state language”, “Speech culture of the teacher”, “Methodics of teaching the Uzbek language”, “Methodics of teaching Uzbek literature” and special courses as “Philological analysis of the text”, “System lexicology of the Uzbek language”, “Theory and practice of translation” and etc. educational curriculas, scientific-methodical complexes, manuals (more than 20), two textbooks and their electronic variants according to all these disciplines and courses are prepared.

Scientific-research work is carried in two directions at the Chair:

  1. “Linguistics and poetics of the text”
  2. “Actual problems of teaching the Uzbek language and literature”

Results of scientific-research works were published in twelve collections of scientific articles of the Chair, international and republican journals (more than 90).

Scientific-methodical seminar and two circles of students are functioning at the Chair. The best reports are being published in the collections of scientific articles of the Chair.

There were several direction of masters on specialties: “Theory and practice of translation”, “Methodics of teaching the Uzbek language” during last years. This year the masters’ direction on specialty “Methodics of teaching the Uzbek language” has began its activity.

Six international and republican conferences were held at the Chair and their materials were published.

Professor-teachers advance their qualification, as prof. I.K.Mirzaev at MSU, SPU and UzNU.

At the laboratory of scientific translation of the Chair where the works of such popular representatives of linguistics as: V.Humbolt, L.Bloomfild, S.Karsevski, L.Scherba, F.de Socceur,   V.Gak, S.Ivanov and orientalists E.Bertels, S.Malov, D.Polivanov are being translated.
