Topinambur is also called yernok by our people. American Indians call it a means of longevity. Because, it has many properties that increase the overall strength of the body. Regular consumption of yernok is very useful in the collection of salt to the organs, type 2 diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal diseases, anemia, atherosclerosis, the formation of stones in the kidneys and urinary tract, the Prevention of Nervous Diseases. Yernok leaf and knuckle can be used fresh or dried. From freshly picked potatoes 50 gr. if consumed 30 minutes before meals, 3 times a day, without cleaning and adding anything to it, blood sugar levels will decrease. . When preparing a salad from the leaf, it is important not only for diabetics, but also for the treatment of hypertension, pancreatic diseases.

    Freshly picked, you can put 3 pieces of yernok in 1 liter of water and boil like fruit juice for 10-15 minutes. If you want to use the dried one of yernok, you can boil it by taking 3 tablespoons in 1-2 liters of water and milking it for 1 hour. It is recommended to drink the finished tincture warm or chilled in 1 liter per day. Such a decoction will not only reduce blood sugar levels, but also lower blood pressure. Improves the functioning of the pancreas, increases the level of hemoglobin in the blood. It contains pectin and organic acids that improve the metabolism of substances.

It is considered a technical and food plant. Various medicines are prepared from topinambur in medicine. It contains protein, fats, nitrogen-free substances, vitamins V and C.
