Two undergraduates of the Institute of Agrobiotechnologies and Food Security of Samarkand State University defended their dissertations with a degree in horticulture of protected lands.

These undergraduates were accepted to study in January 2020 and have been conducting scientific research for two years. Researchers' developments were successfully defended and evaluated by members of the commission.

The work carried out by graduate student Javokhir Ergashev, who conducted research under the scientific guidance of Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry Davlat Normurodov on the topic “Properties of growing heterozygous tomato hybrids in protected ground conditions”, was based on field conditions and theoretical knowledge received special recognition from professors and teachers.

It was also noted that the studies carried out by undergraduate Muzaffar Rozikov under the scientific supervision of Professor Sobir Sanaev in relation to expensive and medicinal leek, which is now entering the world market, are of great importance.

      - I conducted research on the topic "Influence of methods of growing leek seedlings on growth, development and productivity in protected ground conditions," says undergraduate Muzaffar Rozikov. - In two years, combining practice and theory, I have achieved a number of results. The main purpose of the research is to study the methods of reproduction and area sowing of various leek hybrids on protected lands. It also consists in evaluating the effect of foliar feeding during the growing season on growth, development, yield and quality of the crop. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time the seeds of leek hybrids of the Lincolin F1 type and the promising Tsizokrliy (Bulgarian) F1 leek were heated in a solution of pure water, Silica and Nanoplant in a solution of pure water, Silica and Nanoplant in agro-information conditions. center and farm of the Samarkand region. Studied by sowing to obtain seedlings. Then these cultivated leek seedlings were subjected to foliar feeding with various growth regulators, the growth, development and productivity of these hybrids were studied, and the production of high-yielding hybrids was scientifically substantiated. The economic efficiency of growing leek hybrids in film greenhouses with different growing methods is calculated and recommendations are given for the production of...
