Samarkand State University hosted the II Uzbek-Russian Scientific Seminar on the topic “International Radio Observatory on the Suffa Plateau: Advanced Millimeter and Submillimeter Astronomy”.
The seminar was attended by the President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Yuldoshev, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Sciences of Samarkand State University.
Lecture on the current state of the radio observatory, the location of the Suffa Plateau, the analysis of the problem and the further improvement of work, the development of R&D carried out in the international scientific complex, the integration of objects and the relationship between them. A number of practical proposals were also put forward for the development of joint international cooperation in the field of fundamental research in the field of astrophysics and radio astronomy.
“Today, science cannot be imagined without modern technologies,” says Professor Konstantin Postnov from the Institute of Astronomy at Moscow State University, “which will open up large volumes and high-resolution data.” The Souffa Radio Observatory has great potential for the development of radio astronomy. Thanks to my scientific observations and research that I carry out in observatories, unique scientific results are achieved not only for Uzbekistan and Russia, but also for world astronomy.
