“Kim yor anga ilm tolibi – ilm kerak”
The Samarkand Regional Information and Library Center hosted a scientific and practical conference on the theme “Kim yor anga ilm tolibi – ilm kerak”, dedicated to the 540th anniversary of the birth of the great representative of Uzbek classical literature, statesman and public figure Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The event was attended by professors and students of Samarkand State University, poets and writers.
At the conference, scientists of the Faculty of Philology of SamSU delivered lectures on the topics "Comparative style of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur", "The place of Babur's creativity in the civilization of the East and West", "The image of Samarkand in Babur-name".
- Getting acquainted with the life and work of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, we understand what a great person he is, - says Khilola Khaidarova, a student of the philological faculty of SamSU. - Despite the fact that he is far from his country, we see that his love for his country and longing did not leave him for a moment. Babur was not only a just ruler, but also a lover of literature. His work "Babur-name" is notable for its clear, concise narration of events, impressive, and most importantly, for its correspondence to real life. In the narration of events, the author attaches great importance to the description of nature, the description of individual places, the description of individual people.
