A festive event on March 8 - International Women's Day was held at Samarkand State University.

     The event was opened by the rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov, who warmly congratulated the women. He wished success in their future work to women and scientists who are effectively working at the university.

  - Spiritual maturity and prestige of any society in the world, high culture is determined by its attitude and respect for women, - says the rector of SamSU Rustam Khalmuradov, - Therefore, support, protection of women's freedom and interests, increasing their position in society, creating decent working conditions for them and life, the maximum disclosure of their abilities and potential today is an urgent task. The activities of employees and scientists involved in research activities of Samarkand State University are always in the spotlight. The role of science in the growth of the country's economy and the education of a highly spiritual generation is extremely great. Today, every woman involved in scientific and pedagogical activities is related to this rise. To our women who make a worthy contribution to the development of science of our tomorrow, who share the blessings of spirituality and enlightenment, who elevate the honor and pride of the nation to a height, who adorn the world with their grace and beauty. I congratulate you.

    - Today's event shares a real festive mood with all women, - says Makhbuba Ergasheva, Doctor of Philosophy, - I sincerely thank the staff of our native university for this. I was very pleased with the recognition of my more or less achieved results over the past years. Samarkand State University is a school that has trained hundreds of scientists, leading and advanced women in all spheres of our society. As a scientist who graduated from this university, I always try to be worthy of this environment and this name. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all women on International Women's Day.

    During the event, the university demonstrated efficiency in its work and set an example for others with its results. By the end of 2022, it published articles in scientific journals in international scientific and technical bases, such as Scopus, Web Sciences, the university ranking of 256 female teachers and employees were awarded a letter of thanks from the rector of SamSU, valuable gifts and cash prizes for their contribution to improving the efficiency of their activities. Souvenirs were also presented to women who successfully defended dissertations and received academic degrees in 2022.

    Also, melodies and songs performed by the team of the sports and creative faculty of SamSU gave the participants of the event a real festive mood.
