Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation headed by the rector of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Andrey Rudsky. The rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov met with the guests.
In the first part of the visit, bilateral negotiations were held and issues of long-term cooperation were widely discussed. Establishing the exchange of professors and students in areas important to the parties, strengthening cooperation in the training of engineers in technical and technological areas, organizing summer school programs for students and masters, as well as conducting scientific work in the field of engineering physics. Novice researchers were put forward a number of practical proposals for the appointment of supervisors from among the scientists of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. A cooperation agreement and a roadmap for 2023-2025 were signed.

The exhibition "Polytechnics in Uzbekistan" was presented at the Institute of Engineering Physics of Samarkand State University. The opening ceremony of the scientific and educational technological center, created with the cooperation of Samarkand State University and St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, took place. In it, the participants of the exhibition examined the virtual laboratory "Automation of measurements using the LabVIEW system" and the processes of remote control of the "KAWASAKI robotic arm" and took part in practical exercises on the 3D printing process.

- Over the past 2 years, cooperation with the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology of Samarkand State University and St. Petersburg Polytechnic University has reached a new level. Currently, several of our masters in plant biotechnology, medical biotechnology, biophysics and nanobiotechnology are studying in St. Petersburg and conducting research on important topics.
