    The rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov, deputy khokim of the Samarkand region Khurshid Ochilov, editor-in-chief of the Khalk Suzi newspaper, Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan Utkir Rakhmat, professor of the Tashkent branch of the Russian University of Economics named after G. .IN. Plekhanov Shukhrat Goyibnazarov, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Zarafshon" Farmon Toshev, head of the department of the Institute of Candidate of Social and Spiritual Sciences, associate professor Shavkat Turaev and senior officials of prestigious higher educational institutions and organizations of the republic.

    The conference was opened by the rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Khalmuradov, who expressed his proposals and opinions on the importance of the concept of the national idea in the fate of the nation, on the transformation of quality education and effective science into the criteria for the future life of the people. It is no coincidence that the national idea put forward today is based on high-quality education and effective science. This process is carried out by providing quality education and restoring the ancient traditions of the nation. This is achieved by creating all conditions for a person to acquire knowledge in society, by pursuing an enlightened state policy, by introducing knowledge into the mind of a child from an early age. Only an enlightened nation and a free people think of the national idea. For them, the national idea becomes a sacred feeling. Therefore, the basis of the national idea should be embodied in quality education, effective science and national interests.

    Representatives of prestigious higher educational institutions and organizations of the republic took part in the conference with reports on the topic. Each speaker emphasized the importance of science and quality education in the development of the country and thought about the tasks to be implemented after the issue of effective science and education is defined as a national idea.

    During the conference, the rector of Samarkand State University, Rustam Khalmuradov, presented the title of honorary professor of SamSU, as well as a memorial sign “600th anniversary of Samarkand State University”, to Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan Utkir Rahmat.
