Samarkand State University was visited by the coordinator of the "Orhun" program of the Ege University Ibrahim Shahin. The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of SamSU, Professor Akmal Akhatov met with the Turkish guest.

      The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen the ties of international cooperation, to get acquainted with the activities of the Research Institute of Turkic Studies of SamSU. As well as the definition of future target plans.

      During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on improving the activities of the Research Institute of Turkology and determining topics relevant for scientific research.

      Ibrahim Shahin got acquainted with the activities of the Research Institute and expressed his suggestions and opinions.
