         Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc), professor. He has been working at Samarkand State University since 1994. Since 2020, he has been the head of the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Technology at Samarkand State University. He is an honorary professor at the Safi Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University in Kazakhstan.

        Normurot Fayzullayev earned a Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc) degree in 2016 on the topic "Development of Technology for Products Obtained from Methane." Throughout his career, he has authored 18 textbooks, 12 educational manuals, more than 10 teaching-methodological guides, 10 monographs, and 2 patents, and over 350 scientific articles. More than 100 of his scientific articles have been published in SCOPUS journals, and his Hirsch index is 18. He has published over 23 scientific articles in Web of Science journals.

       He was the project leader for the OT-A12-46 digital project "Creation, Research, and Process Optimization of Catalysts for Methane Oxidative Condensation Reactions Based on Local Raw Materials," which was planned for 2017-2018.

Tillyayev Abidjon Djurakulovich

A holder of the “Shuhrat” medal. He has been working in the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Technology since 2020. He is a candidate of chemical sciences and an associate professor. His research focuses on the “Synthesis and Applications of Functional Active Polymers.”

He is the author of over 100 scientific works, including 2 textbooks, 2 methodological manuals, 3 patents, and more than 40 articles.

Three of his articles have been published in Scopus-indexed journals.

Under his supervision, 3 PhD dissertations in chemistry have been defended.

Muradov Rustam Muradovich

Associate Professor at the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Candidate of Chemical Sciences. He has been working at the Faculty of Chemistry of Samarkand State University since 1978. He defended his candidate dissertation on the topic "Study of Phenolic Compounds of Plants from the Genus Sutellaruya Growing in Central Asia."

He is the author of more than 60 articles, 3 of which have been published in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals.

Tursunova Nargiza Samaritdinovna

Candidate of Technical Sciences, has been working at Samarkand State University since 2018. In 2021 she successfully defended her PhD thesis on "Development of scientific and technological bases of the process of methane oxycondensation in the presence of a catalyst derived from local raw materials".

To date, is the author of more than 30 scientific papers, including 1 textbook, 2 manuals, more than 10 articles.

Assistant at the Department of Chemistry of Polymers and Chemical Technology, Samarkand State University. Since 2020 has been working at the Department of Chemistry of Polymers and Chemical Technology. He is conducting research on his dissertation on "Technology of production of catalysts for catalytic reaction of methane dehydroaromatization".

He is conducting research on the topic "Modeling the process of obtaining dimethyl ether from syngas based on local raw materials and developing energy and resource-efficient technologies." She is conducting research on the topic "Research on the Possibility of Regulating the Properties of Fibers Made from Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate and Their Production Technology." She is the author of 2 educational manuals, 1 monograph, and more than 10 teaching-methodological guides. She has published more than 30 scientific articles, including over 10 articles in SCOPUS journals.

From the history of the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Technology

The Department of Chemistry of Polymers and Chemical Technology was established in 2020. Currently, the department has 14 professors. Among them there are 2 academicians, 4 professors, 4 candidates of chemical sciences, associate professors, 1 assistant (PhD) and 3 assistant lecturers. For the last short period professors and teachers of the department have achieved significant results in educational and scientific spheres. In particular, more than 10 scientific articles were accepted by Ph.D., Professor N.I. Faizullaev, Head of the Department of Polymers and Chemical Technology in journals listed in Scopus with a high impact factor, in cooperation with Masters, researchers and doctoral students in accordance with the tradition of mentorship.

In addition, in co-authorship with Professor N. Faizullaev and others, a number of textbooks, teaching aids, and monographs were published. Under the leadership of Professor N. Faizullaev, 6 researchers successfully defended their doctoral dissertations (PhD). Many plans are planned to be implemented by the end of this year. In addition, 3 more professors-teachers of the Department are planning to defend dissertations to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the technical sciences. This will increase the scientific potential of the department by 78%.

In the future, the department aims to achieve high results in education and science. For this purpose, the scientific potential of the department is sufficient. Also, based on the main theme of scientific research of the department, agreements with relevant foreign higher education institutions were concluded. Professors from a number of international universities provide students with quality education. The department has concluded contracts with chemical production enterprises for the employment of students.
