Diabetes mellitus levels and treatment measures

A student of the Faculty of Biology of Samarkand State University, Marjona Radjabboeva, is conducting a scientific study on the topic “Measures for the timely detection and treatment of diabetes mellitus”.
“Currently, we observe that diabetes mellitus occurs in many people,” says Marzhona Radjabboeva. “We need to make the process of treating, preventing, being aware of the incidence rates and checking for this disease even easier. Complications of diabetes occur as difficulties with functioning of internal organs.
Diabetes mellitus is a group of endocrine diseases associated with impaired glucose uptake and in which there is a relative or absolute insufficiency of the hormone insulin. The result is a congestive rise in blood sugar levels. The disease is characterized by a chronic course, as well as a violation of carbohydrate, fat, protein, mineral and water-salt metabolism. The disease is classified according to severity.
During the first degree of the disease, the blood sugar level is fully compensated by insulin, other indicators are also normal. Running pathologies against the background of the disease do not occur, complications are not observed. This result is achieved with full compliance with the course of treatment and diet.
During the second degree of the disease, complications of visual activity, kidneys, cardiovascular and nerve fibers appear.
During the third degree, the active development of the disease is observed. The content of glucose in the blood is in the range of 3-14 mmol/l, high proteinuria is observed, the affected organs gradually begin to show signs. Visual acuity decreases, hypertension is observed, sensitivity on the legs and fingertips decreases.
At the fourth degree of diabetes mellitus, absolute decompensation is observed. Glucose levels are seriously elevated, attempts to reduce sugar levels do not work. The excretion of protein through the urine becomes more active. Kidney failure occurs, ulcers and gangrene may occur on the skin. The risk of falling into a coma is extremely high.
According to results of the analysis, in people with age, the level of glucose in blood increases. It has also been found that women are more prone to diabetes than men. The sooner a disease is detected, the easier it will be to treat it. For this reason, older people are advised to have more frequent medical checkups to keep their blood glucose levels under control.
