Leading physicists of the republic, specialists of the institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, more than 100 scientists from various higher educational institutions and scientific centers, professors and teachers of SamSU took part in the conference.

    At the conference, issues such as current problems of engineering physics, fundamental and applied engineering physics and modern directions of condensed matter, problems of teaching physics in higher educational institutions and ways to solve them were discussed in the eyes of the scientific community.

During the past period, a number of systematic works aimed at bringing physical science and education to a new level have been carried out. Necessary conditions have been created for physical scientists working in scientific centers to conduct scientific research. Funding for fundamental research in the field of physics has been increased by one and a half times, and attention is being paid at the government level to the issue of rapid elimination of priority problems in science, strengthening the integration of science, education and production. At the Institute of Engineering Physics, established under the university, important work is being done to solve a number of unsolved problems in the field of physics, and to implement measures aimed at improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of scientific research in the field. This conference, literally, is one of the works carried out in order to bring the science of physics to a new level of quality and popularize the rich experience gathered in the leading countries of the world in this regard on the scale of our republic. I think that the decisions and proposals made at this conference will serve the development of physics.

    During the activity of the conference, proposals were exchanged on today's important issues, such as achievements in microelectronics, materials science, solid state physics, optical engineering, development of recommendations for applying the obtained scientific results to industry and national economy, including education. After that, the conference continued its activities, dividing into branches such as "Actual problems of the physics of condensed media", "Actual problems of engineering physics", "Problems of teaching physics in higher educational institutions and ways to solve them".
