Each passing year leaves its mark on a person's life. Including 2022, if someone has a single year of life, someone's life page is written in golden letters. So, what was the year 2022 for the students of Samarkand State University?!

We asked a group of young people who are role models for their peers in every field to summarize the year by asking the following questions:

- What successes and news have occurred in your personal life and career over the past year?

- What are your plans for 2023?

- What TOP 3 books among the books read in 2022 do you recommend?

- Wishes to your peers...

Makhbuba Khalilova, student of the Faculty of Philology of Samarkand State University, laureate of the Zulfiya State Prize, two-time world chess champion:

- 2022 was a very blessed year for me. This year I was awarded the Zulfiya State Prize, which I dreamed about since childhood. It is gratifying that receiving the award personally from the head of our country has become an unforgettable event in my life. The president's confidence in me: “Don't stop just because I got an award. I expect great achievements from you ”- the motive that prompted me to achieve great goals. I continued to work on myself and achieved great success in sports. In September, I took part in the 64 Drafts World Championship held in Kyrgyzstan and won 2 silver medals. In December, I took part in the 100 Draughts Asian Championship and won a gold medal and became a champion. That's not all. In 2023, I will participate in the World Championships, which will be held in Antalya, Turkey. I set myself the goal of taking part in this and defending the honor of our country. In 2023, I intend to continue my scientific activities in the field under study, to publish articles in prestigious international publications not only in our country, but also in the world.

I wish my peers good luck and great enthusiasm in 2023. Walk towards your goal without fear. Naturally, there will be various obstacles and difficulties along the way. A person who courageously overcomes them and goes forward towards his goal always wins in life.

My TOP 3 recommendations for books I read in 2022:

1. James Clear "Atomic Habits"

2. Odil Yakubov "Address of Justice"

3. Said Ahmad: "Lost and found by me"

Aziza Kurbanova, student of the Faculty of Psychology and Socio-Political Sciences of Samarkand State University, scholarship holder of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

- I will not be mistaken if I say that 2022 was the brightest and most successful year in my life. At the beginning of the year, I received the international certificate IELTS 6.0, and in the current academic year I was among the winners of the university stage of the Student of the Year competition. For the first time in my career, I consulted as a psychologist, organized psychological trainings with people of different professions, tried to study their psyche. In addition, I was on a business trip from Samarkand State University and translated for Professor Aziziddin Khan from Bombay Technological University, who taught students for a month. During this time, I learned a lot from an Indian professor, exchanged ideas on important topics in my field of work...

At the end of the year, I won a Presidential Scholarship. When I was 15 years old, I first saw a video about the winner of the Presidential Scholarship in one of the social networks. Since then, I have admired young people whom I considered worthy of this recognition. At the beginning of the academic year, I hesitated a lot when preparing documents for the scholarship competition. Especially when we went to Tashkent to take the exam, I was so excited that I wanted to return without entering the interview. But I was encouraged by the presence of my parents, teachers and my native university in my heart, who looked after me with hope, and I entered the interview ...

The status of the holder of the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at this wonderful moment, on the eve of the New Year, when the spirit of the holiday began to overflow in the hearts, doubled the festive mood.

I have big goals for 2023. In the near future, my manual entitled "Legal Psychology" is being prepared for publication. In addition, I intend to participate in a number of projects related to my scientific work. In addition, I want to continue my studies in a master's program abroad. Holiday wishes to my peers: First of all, don't stop fighting and working towards your dream. Never think that going to college is enough. Always try to fly high. I wish you all good luck and success, great victories along the way.

Among the books I read this year, I would recommend the following books that have changed my life:

1. John Kehoe "The subconscious mind can do anything"

2. Viktor Emil Frankl "Say YES to life!"

3. Robin Sharma "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari"

Nilufar Omonova, student of the Faculty of Intelligent Systems and Computer Technologies of Samarkand State University, winner of the Builder of the Future medal, young entrepreneur:

- 2022 was the most memorable year for me. I have achieved many successes in my personal life. By the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, I was awarded the Builder of the Future medal. Also, taking into account my entrepreneurial activity, my activity in introducing innovations in my field, in December I was awarded the Active Entrepreneur medal and the 30th Anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan commemorative medal. She won in the category "Best innovative project in the field of medicine" of the competition "Woman Inventor - 2022", organized as part of the week "100 Women Inventors of the Region". Many public newsrooms have published articles and videos about my work. In particular, my interview for Kun.uz has been viewed over 205,000 times. After that, they began to call me “the programmer girl who gave dad a car.” It's safe to say that this year has been one of the golden years of my life. The fact that I was able to personally meet with the head of our state and express my proposals and initiatives, as well as the trust and recognition given to me, gave me strength to continue boldly moving towards my new goals and lofty goals. I will always try to justify this trust and contribute to the development of our country. I have many plans that I intend to implement in 2023. The most important of these is that I am looking to open a private university. The first admission to the university will begin next year.

In the new year, I wish my peers good luck, big goals and courage to achieve them. Don't be afraid to start working towards your goals. Then one day you will definitely become the best ...
