Many people know that in December the “Week of German Universities” was held at Samarkand State University. Employees of a number of higher educational institutions in Germany organized themselves in order to interest students in learning foreign languages, to acquaint them with the possibilities of continuing their education in prestigious German higher educational institutions, to work in a remote and traditional form of cooperation with foreign specialists, training seminars were organized with scientists and professors at a university conducting research in Germany.

      Within the framework of the “Week of German Universities”, Sardor Umarov, Director of the Center for International Educational Programs, who conducted research at the University of Bamberg, Germany, held a master class on the topic “Historical relations between Germany and Uzbekistan” for students of the Faculty of History.

     Also within the framework of the week, a training seminar was organized on the topic "German Nature and Biological Research" for students of the Faculty of Biology. University Researcher Akbar Ahmedov, who is currently conducting research on the topic of his scientific research at the University of Trier, Germany, participated in the event remotely and presented his research, the results obtained and the necessary information for those wishing to study at the University of Trier. Despite the fact that he was a young teacher of the faculty, Abubakir Koshbaev, who returned from an internship abroad, presented to the students the results of newly obtained biological research. During the seminar-training, students received answers to their questions.

     During the week, a training seminar was organized for university students on the topic “History of Uzbekistan through the eyes of German historians”. It was attended by Tobias Steidemann, Director of the East European Office of the University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin) and Robert Kindler, Professor of the East European Office of the University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin), who visited from Germany. their lectures.

     In the second part of the week, the Dean of the East European Educational Institute, Professor Theoharis Grigoriadis and Petr Laris, who is in charge of the programs in the field of economics, visited the Faculty of Human Resource Management and reached an agreement on international cooperation with the Faculty.

      At the same time, seminars were organized at the Faculty of Philology on the topic “Opportunities for studying foreign students at the Free University in Berlin”, and students were given detailed information about studying at the university for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. research. The delegation of the Free University donated German textbooks for the elementary level, that is, from level A1 to level B2, to students and researchers of our university who are interested in the German language.

      During the week, foreign experts gave students detailed information about the programs of the DAAD Foundation, the benefits of participating in its competitions, and also developed proposals and plans for the future opening of the German Cultural Center at Samarkand State University.

      In addition, the creation of exchange programs for faculty and research staff, the opening of summer schools was agreed.
