Students of Samarkand State University took part in the international essay competition as part of the "Year of the Russian Language". Farzona Halimova, a student of the Faculty of Philology of Samarkand State University, took 2nd place, and Odina Utanova took 3rd place in an online competition that was attended by over 300 foreign students.

      Also, a number of SamSU students were awarded certificates.
