A PhD student of the Institute of Biochemistry at Samarkand State University, Feruz Shodmonov, has discovered a new species of spider for science.

This insect, found at the university’s practice and wellness camp, has been named Gorbiscape zarafshanicus.

The information about this discovery was published in the journal Acta Arachnologica (Q2), which is indexed in the Scopus database, by Feruz Shodmonov and Russian scientist Alexander Fomichev.
