"XIX International Olympiad in Fundamental Sciences" was held at Samarkand State University by the House of Teachers of the Ural Federal District of Russia. In total, 60 students of the 35th and 45th secondary schools of Samarkand took part in the prestigious Olympiad.

      SamSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Akmal Akhatov opened the conference with an introductory speech and wished the participants good luck.

      Elena Nasibulina, an expert of the House of Teachers of the Ural Federal District of Russia, participated as a judge of the Olympiad.

      Tests were given to schoolchildren in just 10 subjects: history, social studies, national languages (English, German, Russian, French), literature, mathematics, physics, computer science, geography, biology, chemistry.

      At the end of the Olympiad, schoolchildren who achieved high results were awarded certificates and special medals.
