10 4th year students of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University underwent internship in Watchberg Oberbachem Schnieder Obsthof agro-cluster located in Cologne, Germany. During the 3-month internship the students studied the best practices of Germany in the field of vegetable and fruit growing and acquired modern knowledge and skills.

 In this agro-cluster, students directly participated in modern agricultural practices such as land preparation, planting, crop care, drip irrigation and fertilizer application, and gained valuable information about the German agricultural system.

 In addition, they were able to gain the necessary knowledge by learning about growing and maintaining seedlings in traditional and vertical greenhouses, in particular the automated watering and fertilization system, as well as innovative methods of disease and pest control.

 They also familiarized themselves with the technologies of storage and processing of harvested products.

 Hakim Khushvaktov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Samarkand State University, and Toshpulot Rajabov, Director of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security, solemnly handed over international certificates to the students who successfully completed the internship in Germany.
