"Using demographic data for social and economic development in Uzbekistan"
Professor Lutfulo Ibragimov from the Department of Social and Economic Geography at Samarkand State University participated in the summer school with this name.
The summer school was organized in the Bo‘stonliq district of Tashkent region, initiated by the "Family and Gender" Research Institute under the Committee on Family and Women, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Uzbekistan.
Eighteen participants from various regions of the republic attended the summer school.
International experts from the UN Population Fund, the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Statistics Committee, the Family and Women’s Research Institute, the Ministries of Economics and Finance, Health, and other relevant organizations conducted scientific presentations and workshops on demographic and gender issues.
The summer school provides an opportunity for young scholars to exchange knowledge and experience, to further expand the base of experts and young researchers at the "Family and Gender" Research Institute, and to establish ongoing collaboration with researchers in the field of demography at higher educational institutions of our republic.
