At Samarkand State University, a diploma awarding ceremony was held for graduates of joint education programs who completed their studies in 2024.
The diploma awarding ceremony was attended by Akmal Akhatov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Samarkand State University; Sardor Umarov, Director of the International Education Programs Center; professors, lecturers, and graduates.
To date, the International Education Programs Center at Samarkand State University has implemented joint education programs in 13 undergraduate and 10 master’s specialties in collaboration with 11 higher education institutions from 8 foreign countries. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 42 undergraduate students and 2 master’s students successfully completed their studies.
During the event, diplomas from the partner higher education institution and Samarkand State University were awarded to 14 students who completed joint education programs in Economics and Digital Economics, organized in collaboration with Tomsk State University of the Russian Federation.
– Joint education programs are established in collaboration with leading foreign universities with the aim of preparing highly qualified specialists essential for the economy and development of our country. The focus is on achieving high quality and effectiveness in training modern professionals, – says Sardor Umarov, Director of the International Education Programs Center at Samarkand State University. – In the 2024-2025 academic year, the university aims to open joint education programs at the master’s level that will contribute to the future development of our country. Starting from the new academic year, a joint undergraduate education program in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology will be organized in partnership with Webster University in the United States. At the same time, effective work is ongoing in preparing specialists in collaboration with leading global universities that are ranked in the TOP-1000.
