A delegation led by Ye. Kuli-Kala, Director of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Fund for the European Region, visited Samarkand State University.

      Akmal Akhatov, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at SamSU, met with the distinguished guests. During the discussion, issues of collaboration in the fields of nuclear physics and nuclear technologies were addressed. Special attention was given to opportunities for training specialists in nuclear medicine, particularly in areas such as accelerators, dosimetry, therapy, and medical diagnostics.

      After the meeting, the guests visited the nuclear physics laboratory at SamSU and familiarized themselves with the facilities created for university students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates with the support of the IAEA.
