The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan, Smita Pant, visited Samarkand State University.
Samarkand State University Rector, Rustam Kholmurodov, a distinguished scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan and member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, met with the esteemed guest.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Samarkand State University and higher education institutions in India were discussed. Special attention was given to the fields of science, education, agriculture, economics, engineering, biochemistry, nuclear physics, and agrobiotechnology.
Rector Rustam Kholmurodov of Samarkand State University emphasized the establishment of scientific centers in collaboration with Indian universities, focusing on solutions to issues related to poverty alleviation, sustainability, hydrology, and climate change.
The ambassador expressed support for the proposal and conveyed confidence in the promising nature of the collaboration.
For your information, eight professors and lecturers are currently active at Samarkand State University. Nearly ten researchers from SamDU have completed internships at prestigious universities in India.
