A conference was held at the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Safety of Samarkand State University on this topic. The conference discussed the agrobiotechnological issues present in intensive agriculture and ways to address them through innovative methods, and conclusions and recommendations were made regarding these issues.

   The discussion focused on increasing soil fertility, preventing degradation, effective use of mineral fertilizers, developing integrated pest and disease management methods, achieving high-quality yields from field crops, and technologies for drip irrigation and fertigation in vegetable production and intensive orchards and vineyards. Prominent scientists from prestigious foreign universities participated with their presentations. Notably, Mikhail Melamed, head of the working group on organic fertilizers at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the development of the Closed Cycle Economy and Ecology, Tatyana Gracheva, a professor at Moscow State University, Irina Pavlenko, an associate professor at Stavropol State Agrarian University, Y. Saimnazarov, a professor at the Institute of Horticulture Research, S. Abduramanova, a professor at Tashkent Agrarian University, O. Mirzohidov, deputy director and senior researcher at the Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture, and Winemaking named after Mahmud Mirzaev, and Sh. Hazratqulov, a doctoral student at Berlin Humboldt University, participated with their lectures.
