Associate Professor at the Department of Software Engineering at Samarkand State University. Since 1979, he has worked in various positions at Samarkand State University. He defended his PhD thesis on "Iterative design of information systems and their software organization" in technical sciences.

During his career, Sami Kobilov is the author of 1 textbook, 7 teaching aids. He has also published articles in 5 Scopus and Web of Science journals. His main scientific direction is software development, localization, computer linguistics, natural language processing.

Oblokulov Sardor Zainiddinovich

Assistant of the Department of Software Engineering at Samarkand State University. He has been working at Samarkand State University since 2021.

During his career, Sardor Oblokulov has created several projects on automation of robotics and technical processes and currently continues to work on these projects. The researcher is currently working on patenting these projects, as well as conducting scientific research on the IoT system. In addition, in order to develop the field of robotics, he organizes additional courses in robotics and teaches them to students.

Absalomova Guzal Buriboyevna

Assistant of the Department of Software Engineering at Samarkand State University. She has been working at SamSU since 2019. During her career she has published 2 articles and 5 abstracts in international and domestic scientific journals. Guzal Absalomova conducts scientific research on the formation of students' competencies in algorithms, programming languages and programming technologies.

Karimov Islom Kakhramonovich

Assistant at the Department of Software Engineering at Samarkand State University. Islom Karimov has published 2 articles during his career. He leads seminars "Fundamentals of Programming" and "Algorithms and Data Structure", "Young Programmers" and "Programmers School".

Islam Karimov has developed several projects for Android devices ("SamDU baholar", "Learn UZ"). Currently, he is engaged in scientific research in the field of computer linguistics, robotics, IoT technologies and artificial intelligence.

About the Department of Software Engineering

The department conducts scientific and methodological work together with a number of universities such as NUUz (National University of Uzbekistan), TATU (Tashkent University of Information Technologies) and Scientific Innovation Center of ICT at TATU and the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications, Research Institute of Digital Technology Development and Artificial Intelligence.

Currently, the department has one doctor of sciences, eight candidates of sciences, five assistants, two heads of department.

The department has a master's degree program 70610101 - Informatics and Programming Technologies (by direction), 70610701 - Artificial Intelligence. Graduates conduct research under the guidance of leading professors Kobilov S., Turakulov I., Yusupov O., Uribboev J., Shodiev U., Akhatov A., Akhatkulov S. Professors and teachers of the department lead a number of disciplines, such as "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science", "Software Engineering", "Computer Science and Programming Technologies", "Fundamentals of programming", "Algorithms and data structures", "Database management systems", "System programming", "Database technologies", "Database management system Oracle", "Designing information systems , "Network Operating Systems", "Intelligent Data Analysis".

Members of the department maintain close ties with NUUz, FarSU, TashpSU, GulSU, BukhSU, KarSU, TerSU, Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Moscow State University. M. Lomonosov and other foreign experts. Currently, a foreign professor Christo Anans works at the department.

The Department has "Fundamentals of Programming" and "Robotics" groups. Talented students of the department participate in various international and national competitions. There are winners of National Olympiads among the students of the department.

By the present time there are 2 textbooks, 7 manuals, the text of more than 50 lectures, educational-methodical books, collections and instructions created by the lecturers of the chair. Also there have been published 1 monograph, more than 200 scientific articles and theses.

At present time at the chair there is a scientific research work on the theme "Research of algorithms and program complexes of intellectual data analysis".
