The Department of Zoology was established in early 1928 and was headed by Professor A. Zavadsky. In 1934, as part of the Department of Zoology, an independent Department of Vertebrate Zoology was formed, the first head of which was Professor B. G. Turkevich. Thus, the department of zoology was divided into two independent departments, and scientific research was carried out to study the fauna, biology, ecology and practical significance of the Zeravshan oasis, invertebrates and vertebrates. To date, the department has 3 doctors of science, professors, 7 candidates of science, associate professors, 1 candidate of science, associate professor, 2 PhD assistants, 1 senior lecturer and 5 teaching assistants. |
