The French education center "Campus Français" opens at Samarkand State University
The representative of French Embassy in Uzbekistan and the director of French education centers “Campus Français” in Uzbekistan, Maeve-Laurent Godard, visited Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.
At a meeting with representatives of Samarkand State University for International Cooperation Akmal Akhatov and Mukhtor Nosirov, the parties exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, in particular, on the opening of French education center "Campus Français" at Samarkand State University.
Maeva-Laurent Godard met with students of Samarkand State University and told them about educational programs of the French education center "Campus Français", scholarships for students and many joint educational programs.
- Samarkand State University is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education, - Maeva-Laurent Godard told. - We see how the partnership relations between Samarkand State University and foreign universities are expanding. I was particularly impressed by the interest of young people in the French language and culture. We discussed opening of the French education center "Campus Français" at Samarkand State University. I think that in future we will establish mutually beneficial relations and create opportunities for students from Samarkand to study in France.
- The activity of our university in the field of international cooperation is highly commendable, - told Dilkhavas Alimova, a student of the philological faculty of SamSU. - Participation of foreign professors and teachers is ensured during the classes. I am very interested in their opinion about our university. Today at a meeting with director of the French education center "Campus Français", I was especially impressed by the manner in which students of French universities are preparing for their lectures. I will also try to use this experience to understand my own lectures better.
At the end of the event, parties handed each other souvenirs, as a token of gratitude and cooperation.
