The Faculty of Philology at Samarkand State University, in collaboration with the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature, organized the "Spring Festival of National Songs" event with the participation of fourth-year students. The event was dedicated to the elective course "Methodology of Studying Samples of Folk Oral Creativity" and focused on the topic "Methodological Foundations of Studying Uzbek Folk Songs: Labor and Ritual Songs and Their Types." This event provided students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of folk songs and explore their national heritage.

   The event was organized to study and promote the priceless examples of national culture and folk oral creativity, as well as to enhance young people's interest in traditional art. During the event, songs reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people were performed.During the event, national songs from Uzbek folk oral traditions, such as "Sust Xotin," "Boychechak," "Yor-Yor," and "Kelin Salom," were performed. These songs reflect the lifestyle, customs, and traditions of the Uzbek people, creating a unique artistic image.

   Throughout the event, students demonstrated their knowledge and skills in studying folk songs. Additionally, their creative abilities and appreciation for national art were enhanced. The participants emphasized the importance of learning and promoting national songs and expressed their desire for such events to continue in the future.

   The course is taught by Mohina Ahrorova, a lecturer at the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature.
